I came home to a mix cd
and a bagged pb&j sandwich.
The mix cd had a smiley face
with freckles on it
"for cheering."
The sandwich was eaten
as the cd spun around,
releasing the sound
of 15 different artists
destined to make me smile.
As the break ended,
and work was resumed,
the cd returned to rest
and I smiled.
