I don't know if you spoke to Carl or anyone else that knows, but my Mother passed away early Saturday morning last week. We had the visitation and rosary on Monday and the funeral on Tuesday. She had been in the hospital for a few days and was responding somewhat to treatment, but unfortunately she was just too sick.
Believe me, I would have much rather been able to attend open mic night than to have had to bury my mother. On the bright side, we saw many of our family and old friends whom we hadn't seen in years and sometimes decades, who had come to express their love for my mother and the rest of us. It was an unbelievable outpouring of affection for which I will be eternally grateful.
While my blog is hardly the place, please know that we, both my wife and I, am sorry for your loss. We will pray for you and your family. Best wishes Ed.
